Our Resident Teacher
Gen Kelsang Tharchin is the Resident Teacher of Tharpaland International Retreat Centre.
Gen Tharchin is a powerful and inspiring teacher who has been studying and practising Buddhism for over 30 years including 6 years of silent retreat.
He is a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang, having studied with Geshe Kelsang since his arrival in the West.
Gen Tharchin draws on his deep understanding of Buddhism, and his extensive experience of retreat, to present the practice of Buddha’s teachings in a clear and accessible way, and to guide others skillfully in meditation and retreat.
