Group Retreat

Tharpaland garden

Group retreats last from a few days to three months ( for example, Snows Retreat ) and are guided either directly by Gen Tharchin, or by one of his senior students with retreat experience, under his supervision.

Almost all group retreats are conducted in silence, although retreaters needing personal advice or support can receive this either by interview or correspondence with Gen Tharchin, or by his senior student who is assisting or actually guiding the sessions of the retreat.

There are usually teachings at the beginning of all the group retreats, and periodically throughout a long group retreat ( Snow’s Retreat ), as well as `question and answer ` sessions.

The residential community at Tharpaland is always available to offer whatever additional advice, encouragement and support that retreaters may require.

"Tharpaland is an oasis of hope and joy in the desert of ordinary life. While you are there, following the spiritual path and attaining realisations definitely feels possible.

This is a very holy and blessed place. Love is here.''
