Snows Retreat 2012
Vajrayogini Generation and Completion Stage Retreat, 4th January - 2nd April 2012

This year's Snows Retreat will be in two parts, corresponding to the generation and completion stages of Highest Yoga Tantra on Venerable Vajrayogini. The first half of the Snows Retreat will give retreaters the option of doing either a close retreat of actions (a counting retreat) or of concentrating on generation stage practice.
The second half of the Snows Retreat will provide practitioners with a precious opportunity to do extended practice of Vajrayana Mahamudra (with special emphasis on the three yogas of the channel, drop and wind), the actual quick path to Enlightenment, within the ideal retreat conditions of Tharpaland.
Venerable Geshe-la himself did three years of retreat at Tharpaland, during which time he wrote Guide to Dakini Land, the definitive text on the practice of Vajrayogini. Since that time thousands of sincere practitioners have done qualified retreat at Tharpaland. The site itself has been blessed by Geshe-la and through the power of all of the spiritual practice that has been done at Tharpaland. It is therefore a perfect place for developing concentration.
